This policy explains what information Jack Martin & Associates Educational Services, LLC collects when you visit this website or order Pre-Apprentice Training workbooks, and how that information is used.

Site analytics

This website is hosted on Squarespace, which collects basic usage data when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view and the site that referred you. We use this information in aggregate to understand how the site is used. Squarespace’s privacy policy is available at squarespace.com/privacy.

Contact form

When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect the information you provide — such as your name, email address, phone number, organization and message — and use it only to respond to you.

Purchases

When you place an order, we collect the information needed to process and ship it: your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, and the details of your purchase.

Payment processing

Fonts

This site uses web fonts served by Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts. To display them, your browser connects to those services, which may log your IP address.

Sharing

This website runs on Squarespace, which places small files called cookies in your browser. Some are necessary for the site to work: they remember what is in your cart, keep checkout secure, and help prevent fraud. Others are used to measure traffic, such as how many people visit, which pages they open and which site they came from, through Squarespace’s built-in analytics. We do not run advertising cookies, and we do not share visitor data with ad networks.

Squarespace names these cookies CART, Crumb and _ssid for the necessary ones, and ss_cid, ss_cpvisit, ss_cvisit and ss_cvr for analytics. The web fonts on this site are served by Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts, so your browser connects to those services, which may log your IP address. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the store may not work correctly without the necessary ones.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to us using the details below and we will respond as quickly as we can, and within the time your state law requires. Depending on where you live, state privacy laws may give you additional rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not send marketing email at this time. If that ever changes, every message will include a link to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to remove you at any time.

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you specific rights over the personal information we hold about you:

  • Know. Ask what categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it and who we disclosed it to.

  • Delete. Ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, except where we must keep it to complete an order, meet tax and accounting obligations or comply with the law.

  • Correct. Ask us to correct personal information that is inaccurate.

  • Opt out. Direct us not to sell or share your personal information.

  • No retaliation. We will not deny you products, charge you a different price or give you a lower level of service because you exercised any of these rights.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We have not sold or shared the personal information of anyone under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for any purpose beyond filling your order and running this website.

We verify your identity by matching the details in your request against our order and contact records, and we respond within 45 days. Data security

This site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and order and form data is stored by Squarespace on our behalf. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store full card numbers. Access to the website’s administration is limited to the people who need it, and is protected by individual logins and two-factor authentication. No website or company can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date below. Significant changes will be noted at the top of the page. Please check back from time to time, since continuing to use the site means you accept the current policy.
